lyrics
I was born into the crucifix scene
the first world's second hand American dream
chip on my shoulder with a cross to bare
on a high horse with a judgement stare
born at the right place at the right time
from the day I was born the world was mine
so don't you want to save me?
from feeling so fucking empty
The right place The right time
the safest place the safest time
never wanting never needing
never hungry never without
don't need it? Throw it out
add it to the continent of plastic in the ocean "over there"
Out of sight, out of mind
You are confusing your ignorance for your innocence
so who cares what bombs we drop?
And who cares what democracies are overthrown?
it's only terrorism when they do it
imperialist war culture
so don't you dare not support the troops
out of sight, out of mind
the apocalypse is already here we just don't live there yet
you are confusing your ignorance for your innocence
but you're not innocent
You're just ignorant

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
